Pinsk District

The Pinsk District lies in the south-east of the region, about 3,260 km², and borders the Rivne Region of Ukraine in the south. It is a land of rivers: the Pripyat and its tributaries, the Yaselda, Pina and Styr, the Oginski and Dnieper-Bug canals, the Pogostskoe Reservoir. The urban settlement of the district is Logishin.

Pinsk is a city of regional subordination; in 1939-1954 it was the centre of the Pinsk Region, whose map of 1940 is here too.
