Malorita District

The Malorita District lies in the south-west of the region on the border with Ukraine, 1,374 km². It was formed on 15 January 1940, abolished in 1962 and created again in 1965. The Rita and Malorita flow through it; here are the lakes Orekhovskoe and Oltushskoe and the Lukovskoe Reservoir.
